Joe Clair Moffitt (b. March 12, 1911, Denver, Colorado), Adjutant General of the Colorado Air National Guard, enlisted in the 120th Observation Squadron, Colorado National Guard, in 1932. He was called to active duty during the World War II years, and served as commander, 140th Fighter Wing, an active duty unit during the Korean War. He was promoted to adjutant general in 1960.
